Fake travel provider on social media is also another example of online scam you can encounter with. It is easy to make fake account and out some logo. The page will look like an official page of travel provider. They offer various contents of promotions to attract victims. If you fall for it, you will end up paying for fake vacation package. They usually ask the victim to transfer money before but then leave the victim hanging without further confirmation after the transfer. 

Another common online travel scam is fake flight confirmation email. It is so easy for you to click to this type of email especially when you see it is about your flight confirmation. In the email, the scammer will notify that you have not confirmed your flight yet and you are asked to click a link directed to a website. Once you visit the website, you will be asked to fill information regarding to your personal information and flight details. Then, they will proceed to steal or hijack your ticket flight. To avoid this scam, you need to avoid clicking mindlessly to flight confirmation inbox. If you receive this type of email, contact your airline for confirmation. It is also important to change your flyer account frequently so your information is kept safely. Avoid posting your flight information on social media as well as it attract more scammers to target you as their victim.
